FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — As the NFL draft approaches, questions about team rosters are surfacing. Atlanta Falcons supporters are particularly keen on updates about players like Demarcco Hellams, Kirk Cousins, and others connected to the team.

Demarcco Hellams is reportedly recovering and expected to be ready for the Atlanta Falcons' upcoming voluntary OTA session in April. Coach Raheem Morris noted Hellams as one of the players anticipated to return to full health after missing last season due to an ankle injury.

Morris said, "He was one of the handful of young players Morris called out as being excited to get back on the field and at full health in 2025 after a year on the sidelines with an ankle injury for all of last season."

With regard to quarterback changes, the future of Kirk Cousins with the Falcons remains uncertain. Potential backup options for Michael Penix Jr. are still under consideration. Zac Robinson, T.J. Yates, or a quarterback from a system like Sean McVay's Rams or Kirk O'Connel's Vikings could be possibilities for the role.

In addressing potential changes, speculation surrounds veteran player Matt Ryan mentoring Michael Penix Jr. It is questioned if Ryan will provide guidance to Penix. Morris commented, "You talk about, 'What is your offseason plan?' and 'How do you go about that process?'" and referred to Ryan as a potential influence on Penix.

Morris also discussed Cousins' future, mentioning that the quarterback's aspirations to remain a starter may lead to his departure. Morris stated the Falcons would not obstruct a trade if an appropriate opportunity arose.

"It's just a matter of finding a destination to sail to," was the sentiment concerning Cousins' potential movement from Atlanta.
