The Atlanta Falcons have signed tight end Teagan Quitoriano. The announcement was made by the organization on Friday.
Quitoriano, a free agent from the Houston Texans, was originally drafted in the fifth round in 2022 from Oregon State. While he briefly joined the Chicago Bears' practice squad last season, his active playing career has been with the Texans.
During his rookie season with the Texans, Quitoriano's initial reception was a 2-yard touchdown against the Philadelphia Eagles. Over the 2022 season, he played nine games, starting six, amassing 113 yards and two touchdowns from seven receptions on 14 targets. His average was 16.1 yards per reception.
In the 2023 season, Quitoriano participated in seven games and started in five, catching two of his three targets for 33 yards with an average of 16.5 yards per reception.
The 2024 season saw Quitoriano in seven games with four starts but ended without recorded statistics.
Quitoriano's career has been marked by injuries, placing him on injured reserve each season. He began the 2022 season recovering from a knee injury. In 2023, he underwent surgery for a groin and oblique injury that shortened his playing time. During the 2024 Hall of Fame Game, he strained his calf.
Joining the Falcons, Quitoriano will line up alongside other tight ends, including Kyle Pitts, Charlie Woerner, and Feleipe Franks.
