The Atlanta Falcons secured a 31-26 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium, witnessed by 62,787 fans. This win marks their fifth in the season against three losses.

Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins made history with eight touchdown passes against the Buccaneers this month, setting a new NFL record for most touchdowns thrown by a quarterback against a single opponent in one month. He is among four quarterbacks to achieve four or more touchdowns in multiple games this year.

Bijan Robinson reached 1,522 rushing yards in his career after just 25 games, becoming the second-fastest Falcon to hit this milestone. KhaDarel Hodge also contributed significantly on special teams with a crucial tackle for loss during a fake punt attempt.

The Falcons remain undefeated within their division for the first time since 2014. On National Tight Ends Day, tight ends Kyle Pitts and Cade Otton each scored two receiving touchdowns. However, Robinson had a touchdown negated due to a holding penalty.

For the Buccaneers, wide receivers Mike Evans and Chris Godwin were absent due to injuries sustained in Week 7 against Baltimore Ravens.

Falcons coach Raheem Morris praised Cousins' performance: "He looked like Patrick Mahomes out there." Meanwhile, Cousins expressed his joy post-game: "We're enjoying winning."

Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield acknowledged two interceptions made by Falcons defenders Jessie Bates III and A.J. Terrell as exceptional plays.

In terms of individual performances, Bijan Robinson led rushers with 63 yards from 13 carries while Darnell Mooney topped receivers with five receptions totaling 92 yards and one touchdown. Baker Mayfield threw for 330 yards but was intercepted twice.

Looking ahead, the Falcons will host the Dallas Cowboys next week at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
