Three-Card Monte and the Shell Game have one thing in common, they are both scams which have been around for a long time. If someone approaches you in public and asks if you want to play, you will soon become what is known as a "mark", or victim. These games often involve someone who pretends to also be playing...to convince you money can be won. This person is known as a "shill", "plant", or "stooge". Don't fall for it, if someone you don't know asks you to play, just walk away.
