The Douglasville Police Department and law enforcement agencies throughout Georgia and surrounding states (Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, South Carolina, and Florida) will be out this week in conjunction with the Georgia GOHS and NHTSA for Operation Southern Slow Down. This campaign kicks off today and goes through the week. We are all working together to keep our roads safe. You can anticipate more law enforcement presence on interstates and state highways across the south. This is a joint effort to reduce speeding and traffic related offenses to ultimately reduce traffic accidents that can result in injury or fatality. #onewithourcommunity #southernslowdown
