We love to surprise our own! #DCSO Deputy Jazombek was only slightly concerned when his sergeant asked him to respond to headquarters for a meeting with the patrol lieutenant. When he arrived, he saw two familiar faces, two Colorado Parks and Wildlife officers he had worked with during the three years he was assigned to our mountain district. He had just recently been reassigned to a different district.
Colorado Wildlife Officers Sean Dodd and Melanie Kaknes presented a certificate of appreciation on behalf of themselves and Area Wildlife Manger Matt Martinez.
"This award goes to Lee Jazombek for his dedication and hard work while in District 8. Deputy Jazombek was always present and eager to help local Wildlife Officers while in District 8. Deputy Jazombek often provided cover while local officers dealt with high-stress situations in remote areas. Deputy Jazombek's dedication to enforcing the laws of the State of Colorado also spanned Title 33 as well. Deputy Jazombek provided Wildlife Officers with crucial information that eventually led to citations being issued.
Deputy Jazombek's dedication to his job and to the natural resources of Colorado has not gone unnoticed, and it is with great pleasure that we offer this certificate of appreciation to Deputy Jazombek."
Sheriff Weekly echoed the CPW officers' sentiments, "District 8 is a unique place to work, and it takes a special kind of deputy to succeed there. You were obviously just what was needed. Thank you for your dedication and service to the citizens in District 8 as well as your law enforcement partners."
