New Career as a Non-Certified Police Officer

When starting your new career as a non-certified police officer, you will attend a ten consecutive week police academy (408 hours of instruction).  Our agency typically sends recruits to the North Central Georgia Law Enforcement Academy (Austell). This allows the recruits to commute from home and not have to stay at a remote location for an extended period of time.  A good portion of the academy is spent in the classroom, which includes learning Georgia law and criminal procedure.  Recruits must constantly study as they are frequently tested on the information presented.  Some of the information may be dry so stay awake to get good test scores!  We have had officers win awards for academics so we expect them to study hard and come in at the top of their class!  #onewithourcommunity
