#TBT: Peanut's Grand Adventure!
A few weeks ago Peanut the hamster, one of the Upper Elementary class pets, escaped her enclosure and spent a few days touring the Lavista Campus. She was eventually found downstairs by the All Day Primary classroom. Her adventure inspired lessons about the hero's journey in elementary and several opportunities for cross-classroom participation! Last week, the afternoon children in the All Day Primary class came to visit and meet Peanut. After her great escape, they were all eager to see our local celebrity. The trip upstairs also inspired a written story from one of the Primary students:
the chrip [trip] wuz eemazeeng [amazing]
i got too see peenut
in misloruz [ms. lora's] clas
