National Dog Day is today! We want to take a chance to honor our K9 Unit and especially our law enforcement canines. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit is comprised of highly trained officers and their K-9 partners. Their unique skillset is used to protect and serve the citizens of Douglas County, while enhancing the function and safety of their fellow law enforcement officers. The K-9 Unite strives to relate with the general public, in a positive manner, and increase efficiency and productivity within the department, all while presenting a professional image.
