APPRECIATION POST: Read to Grow, now in its fourth year, just wrapped up, and it was another successful year in our first-grade classrooms! More than 100 volunteers were out in force, helping our students learn how to read. We’ve seen the data over the years, and we know how impactful these volunteers are.
As a small token of our appreciation, Read to Grow Program Coordinator Kristy Mitchell held a luncheon in their honor.
If you’ll remember, before the pandemic, we had more than 400 volunteers. We’re trying to get the numbers back up for next year to help more students, so if you’re interested in volunteering or know someone who may be, please contact Kristy Mitchell at kristy.mitchell@bartow.k12.ga.us. It’s only an hour a week, and you can truly make a big difference in the lives of our students.
