Douglas County Firefighters Respond To Second Motor Vehicle Accident

County of Douglas issued the following announcement on Feb. 10.

Route 166 in Douglasville, Georgia is shut down in both directions after two vehicles collided shortly before 5:13 p.m.  Douglas County Firefighters and EMS rushed to the scene of a serious motor vehicle accident involving a tractor trailer and a four-door sedan.  

The accident happened on route 166 half mile east of Big A and about a mile of West Chapel Hill Road in Douglasville.  Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and Department of Public Safety are on the scene along with Georgia State Patrol.  

Two people were hurt as a result and taken to a nearby hospital.
