Former Falcons linebacker Keith Brooking will announce Atlanta’s Day 2 selections for the 2025 NFL Draft, as reported by ESPN Senior NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

The NFL has enlisted both current players and retired team legends to announce picks for rounds 2 and 3 scheduled for Friday night. Brooking, selected as a first-round draft pick by the Falcons in 1998, spent 11 seasons with the team and was a fan-favorite defender in the early 2000s. He participated in five consecutive Pro Bowls from 2001 to 2005 and was named second-team All-Pro twice by the Associated Press during those years. In 2003, he led all NFL defenders with 126 solo tackles, and his 144 combined tackles were the highest single-season total of his career.

From 1998 to 2008, Brooking placed sixth among all NFL defenders with 1,133 combined tackles, just below Hall of Fame linebacker Ray Lewis on the list. His 888 solo tackles rank third in Falcons’ history for individual defenders, following Jessie Tuggle and Scott Case. Prior to his professional career, Brooking was well-acquainted with Atlanta after becoming the leading tackler for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets from 1994 to 1997.

The Falcons currently possess one pick on Day 2, the No. 46 overall in the second round. General Manager Terry Fontenot has expressed openness to acquiring additional draft picks via trade, which leaves the possibility open for Brooking to announce more than one selection on Friday night.
