Atlanta Falcons defensive back Billy Bowman Jr. was added to the team’s injury report on Friday with an Achilles injury and will not play in Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints, according to head coach Raheem Morris. The injury occurred during the team’s walkthrough earlier that day.

Morris commented on Bowman’s status, stating, “not good” regarding the initial assessment of the injury. He noted that further information would be available as Bowman continues to undergo medical evaluations.

In other updates, cornerback Dee Alford has cleared concussion protocol and is expected to start at nickelback. Mike Hughes will also return to the starting lineup after missing two games due to a neck injury.

Bowman joins wide receiver Drake London and defensive lineman Zach Harrison among those ruled out for Sunday’s matchup. Both London and Harrison are dealing with knee injuries. Morris described London’s condition as “week-to-week” due to a PCL sprain, while he said of Harrison’s situation, “will have to get it fixed,” referencing his knee issue.

Offensive guards Chris Lindstrom and Matthew Bergeron are listed as questionable for Sunday’s game. Bergeron has missed the last two games because of an ankle problem, while Lindstrom has played through a foot injury throughout the season despite being regularly listed on the report.

Inside linebacker Divine Deablo was initially not given a game designation but was later updated to questionable since players within their 21-day injured reserve return window must be listed as such until activated to the 53-man roster. Morris indicated that Deablo’s activation could happen soon: Deablo has been a full participant in recent practices.

The team also provided details from its latest practice sessions: several players participated fully or were limited due to various injuries or personal matters, while others did not participate at all.
