The Atlanta Falcons are preparing for the 2025 season with a focus on their tight end group, which could play a significant role in the team’s offensive success. The performance of this position was crucial last season, and the team hopes to see consistent contributions from its players this year.
Kyle Pitts remains a key figure in the tight end room as he enters the final year of his rookie contract. Offensive coordinator Zac Robinson is optimistic about Pitts’ potential growth, stating, “I am expecting Kyle to take a big jump in Year 2 of the system.” Last season, Pitts recorded 47 receptions for 602 yards and four touchdowns.
Charlie Woerner also returns after a reliable first year with the Falcons. His blocking skills contributed significantly to Atlanta’s rushing success outside the tackles. Tight ends coach Kevin Koger emphasized Woerner’s versatility: “You are involved in essentially all parts of the offense: run game, pass game, pass protection.”
The competition for the third tight end spot is open among newcomers Teagan Quitoriano and Feleipe Franks, along with Nikola Kalinic and undrafted rookie Joshua Simon. Franks brings special teams value, while Quitoriano has integrated well since joining Atlanta.
As training camp approaches, these developments will be closely watched to determine how they might impact the Falcons’ overall performance in 2025.
