The Atlanta Falcons announced on Mar. 12 that they have re-signed defensive tackle LaCale London.

London, who entered the league as an undrafted free agent from Western Illinois, has played in three NFL seasons, including two with the Falcons. Last season, London contributed to Atlanta’s defense by recording 30 tackles, seven tackles for loss, five sacks, and one forced fumble. His five sacks ranked fourth on the team and were second among interior defensive linemen for the Falcons.

The new NFL league year began Wednesday at 4 p.m., allowing teams to officially sign free agents and finalize trades. The Falcons compete in the National Football League’s NFC South division according to the official website. The team is based in Atlanta, Georgia according to the official website and began as an expansion franchise in 1965 according to the official website.

The Falcons have advanced to the Super Bowl twice—in 1998 and again in 2016—according to the official website. Freddie the Falcon serves as their mascot according to the official website.
