Atlanta Falcons punter Bradley Pinion recently led a group, including Falcons President Greg Beadles, Head Coach Raheem Morris, seven players, staff, and spouses, to the Dominican Republic on a mission with Compassion International. The organization is dedicated to alleviating child poverty through partnerships with local churches. This marks a significant event, being the first time a professional sports organization has embarked on such a journey with Compassion International.

Greg Beadles reflected on the initiative saying, “We’ve never done anything like this before and I’m so grateful we had this opportunity. We are a values-driven organization both on and off the field, and we’ve always wanted to be a positive, impactful force for good in communities.”

The group engaged in a four-day immersive experience, learning about the charity’s child development efforts. They visited church partners, participated in activities with the children, such as a baseball game and football drills, and visited the families in need.

Bradley Pinion, motivated by his connection with Compassion International, encouraged his colleagues to join in witnessing its efforts in the Dominican Republic. Pinion’s previous involvement includes a 2023 visit to Tanzania with his wife Kaeleigh, promoting health initiatives for mothers and babies. This led to his “Punts for Purpose” campaign, where he partnered with fellow punters to support Compassion International by donating for successful punts.

Pinion expressed, “It’s what we are passionate about. We just want to bring other people along because we see the impact Compassion’s having. We want other people to see it, support it and give that same fire that we have.”

Compassion International serves over 62,000 children in the Dominican Republic with 234 frontline church partners. The organization is committed to safeguarding children from various threats, providing not only essential services but also offering protection training and engaging activities.
