Atlanta Dream guard Allisha Gray has been recognized as the WNBA Eastern Conference Player of the Week, as announced by the league. This accolade is a first for Gray, who is a two-time WNBA All-Star and an Olympic gold medalist.

During this period, Gray averaged 26.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game. Her shooting efficiency was notable with 65.2% from the field and 62.5% from three-point range.

Gray’s performance was crucial in securing consecutive road victories for the Dream. She scored a team-high 25 points against the Los Angeles Sparks with an impressive shooting percentage of 87.5% from the field and a perfect record from the free throw line, alongside six assists and five rebounds. In a subsequent game against the Seattle Storm, she achieved a career-high of 28 points to help Atlanta overcome a significant deficit.

Her contributions have been key in extending Atlanta’s winning streak and contributing to their best season start since 2016. Gray is also noted as the first player from Atlanta Dream to receive this honor since Rhyne Howard in 2022.

The Atlanta Dream was established in 2008 and remains the only WNBA franchise in the Southeast region, playing at Gateway Center Arena @ College Park. The team has produced numerous achievements including multiple playoff appearances and finals showings.
